Man killed in double stabbing 'was remarkable'

Mark Orabiyi, 35, died when he arrived at hospital after being found fatally injured in the garden of a property in Silvertown on Friday morning. Another man was also found with stab wounds. In a tribute, Orabiyi's family said: "Mark was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. He brought love, light and joy to our family and to all who knew him." Three people were arrested on suspicion of murder. The Met Police said a 27-year-old man had been released on bail pending further inquiries, while a man, aged 24, and a 25-year-old woman were released with no further action. Emergency services had been called to Pankhurst Avenue at about BST after reports that a man had been stabbed. Orabiyi was found in a garden in nearby Rayleigh Road and taken to hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. The other man was also taken to hospital where he remains. Police said his condition is not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
