SIA increases number of flights to and from Amsterdam between August and October
Singapore Airlines (SIA) will increase its flight frequency between Singapore and Amsterdam to 10 weekly services from August 1 to October 22, up from the current daily service. The additional flights, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, will use the long-haul variant of the Airbus A350-900 aircraft. This expansion responds to strong demand for travel between the Asia-Pacific region and Europe, with tickets for the extra services available from May 25. The new flight, SQ334, will depart Singapore at 11:10 a.m., while the return flight, SQ333, will leave Amsterdam at 8:35 p.m. local time on the same days. SIA’s senior vice-president of marketing planning, Dai Haoyu, emphasized Amsterdam’s strategic importance within the airline’s European network. He highlighted the role of Singapore’s hub in connecting travelers from Asia-Pacific and beyond to Europe, reflecting confidence in the route’s long-term potential and the possibility of extending the increased frequency beyond October 2026. This announcement is part of a broader expansion by SIA in its European operations, which includes increased flights to cities such as Manchester, Milan, Munich, and London. Additionally, the airline plans to launch a new service to Madrid starting in October. These moves indicate SIA’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Europe and meeting growing passenger demand across key routes. The expanded services are expected to enhance connectivity and offer more travel options for passengers between Asia and Europe.
